We are an established Hunter Hireling yard based in the South East of England, providing well-mannered, fit, and immaculately presented horses for local drag and bloodhound* packs. Each horse is delivered to the meet and collected afterwards for your convenience, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.

We can arrange for you to join a local hunt as a guest rider. Nearby drag and bloodhound packs offer an exceptional opportunity to ride across fine hunting country in the company of experienced riders, with optional jumping for those who wish to participate.

Our horses, carefully selected from Ireland and the UK, are accomplished hunters renowned for their manners, stamina, and performance. They offer an exhilarating yet polished experience for the discerning rider.

Please note: Bloodhound hunting follows the “clean boot,” where hounds work the natural human scent, while drag hunting follows an artificial trail laid in advance.

Who can join the hunt?
Hunting is open to more experienced riders and we have a mix of regular and guest riders. So whether you live locally or are visiting Sussex and want to join us, please feel free – you’re always assured a warm welcome.

Do I need to be an experienced rider?
Yes – The hunt will offer a challenging experience over more demanding terrain – Jumping is optional

Will I get tuition on the day?
Hunt days are for experienced riders to enjoy all the thrill of the hunt. Tuition is not included but you'll be welcomed to the group and briefed on the day's activities. (Riders can be accompanied on the hunt for an additional fee and cross country schooling is also available to refresh your skills prior to the hunt).

Do I need to bring my own equipment?
Yes, all riders must wear a riding hat and we strongly recommend a body protector for safety.

What time are the rides?
we meet at midday however please arrive at least half an hour before to ensure you are ready and mounted before hand.

Where do the rides start from?
There are several routes in Sussex and Surrey
